    Procedures

Registration, Start and Finish for the competition will be in the car park.
In accordance with the informality of the event the organisers will not require you to deposit your receiver in a pound before the transmitters start sending. They do expect you to respect the spirit of this concession by refraining from using your receiver until reporting to officials in the start area and then only under their supervision.
The 'flags'for the competition will be 15cm side length.

    Safety

Competitors are responsible for their own safety and take part at their own risk. No smoking in the forest. Whistles should be carried (the emergency signal is 6 blasts repeated at 1 minute intervals).

    Loan Equipment

Receivers for 3.5MHz are available on loan at no extra cost (unless you lose the receiver, when the cost is £40). E-Mail the organiser (address below) to reserve.

New Feature - Individual League Table

A League Table will be implemented for the first time this year across all five events. The current standings will be published beside the results for the day.
The key features of this league are as follows:
Points for each event. If 20 people enter an event then the winner gets 20 points and the 20th placed person gets 1 point. The greater the number of participants the greater the points for the winner.
Attendance bonus: There is a 10 point bonus for each event you attend up to a maximum of four events
The final total achieved will be the sum of the best four (out of the five) event totals
There will be a small trophy for the winner and runner-up at the end of the series
