Summary
This event is the third in the RSGB Region 13 series of 2021. There will be a five transmitter course using the 80m band.

Directions
The area is conveniently accessed from the layby on the B4668 (Old A47) north east of Hinckley.
Format of Event
The event will conform to the general principles of IARU events. There will be a maximum of five transmitters and an MO beacon at the finish.
The transmitters will be separated by at least 300m and the nearest transmitter to the Start will be more than 200m away.
Electronic 'punching' will be used as proof of visit to each transmitter. 'Dibbers' can be hired for £1 (£35 if you lose or do not return)

Scale is 1:7,500. Size A4 portrait. Printed in four colours on waterproof paper.
There will be a time limit of 2 hours to complete the course. Competitors who are over time will be listed in the results below those who are inside the time and have found at least one transmitter.

The results will be posted on this web site as soon as possible after the event.
Procedures
Registration, Start and Finish for the competition will be in the car park.
In accordance with the informality of the event the organisers will not require you to deposit your receiver in a pound before the transmitters start sending. They do expect you to respect the spirit of this concession by refraining from using your receiver until reporting to officials in the start area and then only under their supervision.
The 'flags'for the competition will be 15cm side length.
Safety
Competitors are responsible for their own safety and take part at their own risk. No smoking in the forest. Whistles should be carried (the emergency signal is 6 blasts repeated at 1 minute intervals).
Loan Equipment
Receivers for 3.5MHz are available on loan at no extra cost (unless you lose the receiver, when the cost is £40). E-Mail the organiser (address below) to reserve.
